SONATA STORY

It is the love for dancing that prompted Mr Tai Han Kwang and his wife, Ms Ong Long, to venture into dancewear manufacturing and retailing in 1982.

Ms Ong’s contribution is invaluable to Sonata Dancewear; her knowledge and ideas in this field enables her to design and provide dancewear that dancers truly want and need. Sonata not only has the ability to prepare made-to-order dancewear but also ready-to-wear garments in all its retail outlets.

From Tiny Tots to Performing Artistes, Sonata serves the entire dance community which is made up of dance students as young as 3-year-olds to adults who turn professional. Many of these students, seek our outfits for ballet, music and drama, aerobics and dance activities, gymnastics, and even stage performances.

Today with a group of experts behind the company, Ms Ong continues to develop her passion for designing dancewear, costumes and apparels inspired by dance. Sonata takes pride in being an all-round outfitting partner to the community.

The dance scene is fluid and changes constantly. As one of the market leaders, we respond by keeping ourselves in tune with the times, yet, always holding true to our commitment to comfort, durability and safety.
